New Residents are Thrilled

“We are thrilled beyond belief,” says new resident Lynn Campbell. “Everything here is top notch, the staff is incredible—and we absolutely worship the maintenance people who were so helpful with the move-in process. It really couldn’t be better.”

Lynn and her husband Richard moved in on December 30, 2008. They chose a two-bedroom apartment home on the 8th floor. Lynn, who is a native of Seattle, was born and raised in a home on Queen Anne. She says, “The view from our living room is of Queen Anne and part of downtown, so I can see where I grew up. I just love that! And when we’re in the bedroom, we look out the window and see the Space Needle. The views are wonderful.”

Lynn says that she and Richard, both of whom are 61, hadn’t thought about moving to a retirement community before they discovered Mirabella Seattle. As she explains, “Richard is still working as an accountant, and we’re both still young and active. But one day, we decided to stop by the Marketing Office. We were so impressed with everything that we made the decision right there. We did have one question though: ‘Is Mirabella a pet-friendly community?’ Once they told us ‘yes,’ that was it for us. We have two twin cats and we feel they are very important to our well-being.”

The Campbells also liked the idea of not having to deal with keeping up a large home and continued yard maintenance. Lynn describes their new carefree lifestyle at Mirabella as “very freeing—it’s just fabulous!”

Other things that attracted the Campbells to Mirabella Seattle was its location. “We really like the South Lake Union neighborhood, with everything it offers,” says Lynn. “We also wanted to become part of downtown, and at Mirabella, we are. Since moving in we’ve walked downtown and back several times. Richard’s office is only one mile from Mirabella, so he often walks to work. It’s a very convenient location.”

Lynn describes fellow Mirabella residents as “a very outgoing bunch” that she and Richard look forward to getting to know. They are also looking forward to March 7, when their neighbors of 35 years move to Mirabella also. Lynn says, “We hadn’t discussed it with each other at all. We both signed up, unbeknownst to each other. Richard and I just love them, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have them as fellow residents!”
