Construction continues to make great progress on the building. This is a view from the southwest corner of Fairview Avenue and Denny Way looking northeast. This is the signature view of the building as we are looking at the Gateway Corner for the South Lake Union Neighborhood. This is known as Zone 4. The level-12 formwork for Zone 4 is in place with the structural reinforcement installation under way for our last floor! The exterior framing is complete on level-9 for Zones 4 and 3 working through Zone 2. The masonry veneer is completed up to level-7 for the both Fairview Avenue and the Denny Way sides of the zones. Interior finishes are underway on level-2 and 3 for all zones, with Drywall underway on level-4.

Here is a view looking west to northwest down Denny Way toward Mirabella, with the Space Needle in the background behind Zone 4 on the left. The completed framing and sheathing for level-9 is visible along with the framing and sheathing progressing through Zones 2 and 1. The windows are being installed on level-7 along with plastic to add waterproofing for level-8. The form work tables are being installed for level-12 in Zone 3. The installation of the exterior water and vapor barrier, “Blueskin”, is continuing on the exterior sheathing to allow the veneer to be applied along with drying-in the building.

Here Brent Martin from the Marketing Team is checking out the fantastic view from Unit 1108! Brent’s attention was captured by the seaplane approaching Lake Union for a landing as well as the sunlit snow covered Mount Baker in the distance. Mount Baker is visible near Brent’s hardhat to the left of the Safeco building on the horizon. Believe me; the photograph does not do justice to the experience.

The temptation was too great having the formwork installed in Zone 4 for level-12 that I had to include a photograph looking southwest from the living room of Unit 1224.

This is a view from Unit 1224 looking west at the Space Needle, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains. Check out that gorgeous fall sky!
