Construction resumed this week full force after the Thanksgiving holiday. This is a view from the southwest corner of Fairview Avenue and Denny Way looking northeast. This is the signature view of the building as we are looking at the Gateway Corner for the South Lake Union Neighborhood. This is known as Zone 4. The level-11 deck has been poured in Zones 4 and 3 along with columns in Zone 4. The exterior framing is complete through level-8 and is progressing on level-9 through Zones 4 and 3. The masonry veneer is completed up to level-7 for the both Fairview Avenue and the Denny Way sides of the zones. Interior finishes are underway on level-2 and 3 for all zones, with Drywall beginning on level-4. Note that our “Tower Crane Sign” has been moved to a new position on the sidewalk cover facing southwest across Fairview Ave. and Denny Way.

Here is a view looking west to northwest down Denny Way toward Mirabella, with the Space Needle in the background behind Zone 4 on the left. The completed framing and sheathing for level-8 is visible along with the framing and sheathing progressing on level-9. The windows are completed for level-6 and installation has begun on level-7. The form work tables for level-11 are in place for all zones, with Zones 4 and 3 being poured. The installation of the exterior water and vapor barrier, “Blueskin”, is continuing on the exterior sheathing to allow the veneer to be applied along with drying-in the building.
