The progress continues despite the wind and rain! This is a view from the SW corner of Fairview Avenue and Denny Way looking northeast. This is the signature view of the building as we are looking at the Gateway Corner for the South Lake Union Neighborhood. This is known as Zone 4. The level-9 deck has been poured for Zone 4 and formwork is in place for Zones 3 and 2. The exterior framing is about 50% complete for level-6, with windows being installed in level-5. The masonry veneer is completed up to the midpoint of level-4 for both the Fairview Ave. and Denny Way sides of the zones. Interior painting has begun on level-2 of this zone.

Here is a view looking west to northwest down Denny Way toward Mirabella, with the Space Needle in the background behind Zone 4 on the left. The completed framing and sheathing of level-6 is visible, with the windows starting to be installed on level-5. The decks form work is in place for level-9 for Zones 3 and 2. The installation of the exterior water and vapor barrier, “Blueskin”, is continuing to allow the installation of the insulation and brick veneer to proceed.

This is a view from Unit 610 looking southwest across the courtyard toward Zone 4. The progression of the exterior framing through level-6 is evident inside the courtyard as well as outside. The masonry veneer continues around the inside of the courtyard.

This is a view from the corner of John Street and Minor Ave. looking South to Southwest at Zone 2 of the building. The structural forms are installed for the level-9 deck. The exterior framing has moved up to level-6. The “Blueskin” vapor and water barrier is being applied to begin the masonry veneer process. |
