Here is a view from the north tower crane looking S to SW at Zones 3, 4, and 1. Denny Way is the street visible at the top of the photograph with Fairview Ave. N. on the right of the photograph. The core elevator tower for Zone 4 is visible on the right. The concrete deck for level-3 has been completed for all Zones as the newly poured deck in Zone 1 is visible on the lower right of the photograph. The structural steel and embeds are being installed on level-4 in Zone 4 for preparation for a pour next week. The exterior walls with the yellow sheathing are visible on level-1 of Zones 4 and 3, and level-2 of Zone 4. The blue coating on the yellow sheathing is the waterproof membrane that is installed prior to placing the exterior insulation and veneer or skin on the building. Visible on the lower courtyard juncture with Zone 4 is the first four foot lift of the Masonry Veneer.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking S to SE at Zones 3 and 2, with 4 on the right hand top side of the photograph. Denny Way is the street visible at the top of the photograph with Minor Ave. on the left of the photograph. The form work is being installed for level-4 of Zone 3. This view gives a good perspective of the large form work tables that are now being installed hanging off the columns. These same forms will be used to form the remaining same section of decks as we progress up each level of the building. It is quite a sight early in the morning to see these tables being “flown” over the streets as they are moved up to the next level. On level-1 you can see two large doorways opening out onto the courtyard that are sheathed in yellow. These doors lead into the Auditorium/Banquet Hall.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking East at Zone 2. Minor Avenue is the street visible at the top of the photograph with John Street on the left of the photograph. The core elevator tower is visible in the center of the photograph. We are looking at level-3 and basically the floor for Units 312, 313, and 314 going clockwise around the elevator core. The columns are ready to be poured and to accept the form work tables for the level-4 deck.

This is a view from the existing sidewalk along Denny Way looking west toward Fairview Avenue. This is a good view of the lower level pre-cast concrete panels that go around the perimeter of the building and are the first component of the exterior veneer or skin of the building. The large window openings on the right look into the Auditorium/Banquet Hall. Visible at the top left of the photograph is the start of the exterior framing of level-2 in Zone 4. |
