Mirabella Construction

Here is a view from the north tower crane looking S to SW at Zones 3 and 4. Denny Way is the street visible at the top of the photograph with Fairview Ave. N. on the right of the photograph. The core elevator towers for both zones are visible with 3 on the left and 4 on the right. The first floor has been poured and the Post Tensioned cables stressed in Zone 4. This area will house the retail spaces of the first level and part of the Auditorium. The reinforcement bars and the coiled reinforcement cables (blue) are being installed for the pour in Zone 3 scheduled for the end of this week. The capillary break under the slab-on-grade for the area under the common courtyard is installed. After the remaining columns are poured, the slab-on-grade will be poured.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking S to SE at Zones 3 and 4. Denny Way is the street visible at the top of the photograph with Minor Ave. on the left of the photograph. Minor Avenue continues to be used for form fabrication and material storage at this time. The core elevator towers for both zones are visible with 3 on the left and 4 on the right. This shows the first level deck that was poured in Zone 4 to the right, and the formwork installed for the first level deck of Zone 3. They are installing the reinforcement steel and the blue Post Tension cables in preparation for pouring Zone 3 first level deck by the end of the week. You can also see the formwork continuing into Zone 2. The lowered forms on the left are dropped because this is the level of the structural slab under the pool area. The columns for the courtyard are visible as well as the mechanical contractor completing their underground work near the fire detention tank in the lower left corner of the photograph.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking East at Zone 2. Minor Avenue is the street visible at the top of the photograph with John Street on the left of the photograph. The core elevator tower is visible in the center of the photograph. The Fire Tank Reservoir is visible on the upper right of the photograph and the large Storm Water Detention Vault is visible in the upper left of the zone. The concrete lid to the Fire Tank Reservoir is poured. The metal form decking is installed on the Storm Water Detention Vault as they prepare to pour the concrete lid for the vault. This area has extensive underground mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work in progress prior to being able to pour the slab-on-grade. On the left side of the photograph the electrical conduits are being installed that go from the main street vault into Mirabella’s transformer vault. On the right side of the photograph the main sewer lines that exit the building, along with secondary underground piping currently under construction are visible.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking West at Zone 1. Fairview Avenue North is the street barely visible at the top of the photograph with John Street on the right of the photograph. The reinforcement placement for the elevator core is currently underway. The last basement level core pour will be made the first week of April. Once the core walls are poured, and the forms stripped, the backfill process and the forming of the remaining exterior wall footings will begin.
