Mirabella Construction

Here is a view from the north tower crane looking S to SW at Zones 3 and 4. Denny Way is the street visible at the top of the photograph with Fairview Ave. N. on the right of the photograph. The core elevator towers for both zones are visible with 3 on the left and 4 on the right. The first floor is being formed across both zones with the first pour scheduled for next week in zone 4. The reinforcement bars and the coiled reinforcement cables (blue) are being installed for the pour. The construction joint between zones pours for 3 and 4 is just to the left of the tower crane visible in the center of the photograph. The newly poured slab-on-grade is visible north of the cores. On Zone 4 (right) the first level forms end at the edge of the common courtyard. The ramp that will allow outside access to the courtyard from this side of the building is visible going around the elevator core on Zone 4.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking S to SE at Zones 3 and 4. Denny Way is the street visible at the top of the photograph with Minor Ave. on the left of the photograph. Minor Avenue is being used for form fabrication and material storage at this time. The core elevator towers for both zones are visible with 3 on the left and 4 on the right. This shows the newly poured slab-on-grade for the basement level of Zone 3 as well as the building of the first level forms. The object in the lower left corner covered with plastic is the Fire Tank Reservoir. The plastic is protecting the recently applied waterproofing material. This tank holds water for the fire sprinkler system and is located directly below the entry ramp into the basement garage.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking East at Zone 2. Minor Avenue is the street visible at the top of the photograph with John Street on the left of the photograph. The core elevator tower is visible in the center of the photograph. The Fire Tank Reservoir is visible on the upper right of the photograph and the large Storm Water Detention Vault is visible in the upper left of the zone. All roof and exterior water drains from the building go into this detention vault to remove any sediment prior to entering the City of Seattle storm water system. Sediment reduction is vital to health of our native salmon’s habitat. Underground work on the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work is underway in Zone 2. Due to the concentration of systems and vaults in this zone, the underground work is quite extensive and will take around two weeks of production before we can pour the slab-on-grade for this zone.

This is a view from the north tower crane looking West at Zone 1. Fairview Avenue North is the street visible at the top of the photograph with John Street on the right of the photograph. The reinforcement placement for the large mat footing of the elevator core along with the large strap beams are visible in the photograph. The strap beams have had the structural steel reinforcements completed and are ready to be tied into the large mat footing. The bottom layer of steel reinforcement is completed on the mat footing and the visible orange outline is the layout for the elevator tower core. The mat footing is roughly 62’ X 68’ X 5’6” deep.
