View from Denny Way looking NW to Fairview at Zone 4. This shows the progress on the elevator core, columns, exterior walls and slab-on-grade in this zone. The slab-on-grade has been poured for about half of this zone. This is the finished floor in this area.
This is a view from the corner of Denny Way and Minor Ave. looking NW across the site with Zone 3 in the forefront. This is a view of the poured Zone 3 elevator core and poured surrounding columns in this area. The underground mechanical and electrical rough-in is complete and the contractor is working on backfilling this area. Work is progressing on the exterior walls in Zone 3 in preparation for the Shotcrete installation. Note that both tower crane bases (yellow structures) are visible in the background.
View from Minor Avenue looking southwest across Zone 2 with Denny Way on the upper left and Fairview Avenue on the upper right. Visible in this photograph is the poured large mat footing and the ongoing work on the elevator core for this zone. The contractor has the interior formwork installed and is starting to place the large structural steel reinforcement elements for this structural elevator core. The large underground storm water detention tank being constructed is shown in the foreground of the photograph. The bottom of the tank has been poured and they currently are working on the large strap beams that intersect the detention tank. The beams are those large rectangular shapes of structural reinforcement steel visible at the bottom of the photograph.
