The first week in January is upon us and everyone is back to work on Mirabella. This is a view from the southwest corner of Fairview Avenue and Denny Way looking northeast. This is the signature view of the building as we are looking at the Gateway Corner for the South Lake Union Neighborhood. This is known as Zone 4. The form work tables have been moved up to form the roof level, and work is progressing with structural steel placement for the roof deck. The next section of curtain (window) wall is being installed on the corner units. The masonry veneer is progressing past level-8 for the Fairview Avenue side of the zone. Interior finishes are continuing on level-2-4 for all zones, with Drywall on level-5.

Here is a view looking west to northwest down Denny Way toward Mirabella, with the Space Needle in the background behind Zone 4 on the left. The completed framing and sheathing for level-10 is visible starting into Zone 2. The form work tables for the roof level for zones 4 and 3 are in place. The level-12 roof deck has been poured for Zone 2 along with the some of the parapets and roof curbs. The installation of the exterior water and vapor barrier, “Blueskin”, is continuing on the exterior sheathing to allow the veneer to be applied at a later date while drying-in the building.
