River Blocks of Portland’s South Waterfront district—the city’s most up-and-coming area. It will be situated along a pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly greenway running from park to riverfront, and it will be close to shops, restaurants, movie theatres, a neighborhood grocery store, banks, a pharmacy, health care services, and many other conveniences.
Neighboring buildings include
the Meriwether and John Ross
condominiums, both of which
will offer retail and dining venues
to enjoy. The Portland streetcar, a main artery to everything the city has to offer, is creating a new stop—and it happens to be next door to
where Mirabella is being built! That means that all you have to do is step outside your door, and you’ll have access to the Portland Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Portland, the Central Library, the Portland Center for Performing Arts, lifelong learning classes at Portland State University, and shopping and dining on Northwest 23rd Avenue.
According to USA Today, Portland leads the way on having the nation’s first large-scale development to go 100% “green.” What this means is that the whole South Waterfront area is being designed to be ecologically sustainable. The buildings in the area are being constructed as “Green Buildings” as measured by the standards of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. The LEED green building rating is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of buildings. They focus on five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor
environmental quality.
Mirabella is being designed as a green building, making it the first CCRC in Oregon to be LEED
certified. We are still researching
the matter, but to the best of our knowledge, at this writing, Mirabella will be the first CCRC in the nation to achieve this certification.
There are so many things that make Mirabella a standout. Why not call us today at 503-245-4742 and see how fabulous your future looks at Mirabella?
