“When prospective residents join us for one of our monthly discussion groups, it’s always a pleasure for us to explain the advantages of living in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC),” says Adam Payn, Director of Marketing.
“As a CCRC, Mirabella will offer a variety of accommodations, services, and activities geared toward helping residents maintain their independence and remain healthy and vital,” explains Adam. “They have the
security of knowing that if their health care needs change over time, they’ll find the services and support they need right on campus.”
Adam says, “When you consider all
the benefits a CCRC offers, you see the true value of living at Mirabella. For a complete description of our Continuing Care Program, I encourage people to call us at 503-245-4742 or toll-free at 1-877-254-9371 The Marketing team will be happy to help them learn more.”
Partnering with OHSU
One of the most unique things about Mirabella is its partnership
with the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), the state’s
only health and research university. Working together, Mirabella
and OHSU will collaborate on health care innovations that serve the needs of seniors. The focus will be on addressing the physical, social, cognitive, psychological, and environmental dimensions of aging with the intended result of improving care.
OHSU has just recently finished construction on its brand-new Center for Health & Healing, located in South Waterfront just one block from Mirabella’s site. This proximity will make it easy for residents to take advantage of everything the Center offers.
Tom Becker, President and CEO of PRS, Mirabella’s parent company
says, “The alliance with OHSU not only allows PRS to provide more high-quality housing for seniors in Portland; it also helps us realize our goals to provide state-of-the-art care and services and investigate new technologies that will benefit residents and aging services as a whole.”
According to OHSU President Joseph E. Robertson, Jr., MD, MBA, “PRS has an outstanding reputation as an owner and operator of retirement communities, and we chose it as a buyer because of its desire to work closely with our health care providers in a way that’s mutually beneficial for OHSU and Mirabella residents.” |
