This view of Mirabella is from the southwest taken from the corner of SW Moody and SW Gaines looking northeast, from the 22nd floor of the Riva building. Form work for the level-29 post-tensioned slab is nearing completion; this PT slab was poured on December 23 2009.
This aerial view is looking southeast towards Mirabella taken from the 15th floor observation deck of the OHSU Center for Health and Healing.
This is a view looking northwest along the east façade of Mirabella taken from the corner of SW Pennoyer and SW River Parkway. The window wall system is now being installed at level-21, with interior metal stud wall framing now taking place at level-20.
This is a bird’s eye view of the level-5 community roof top deck, taken from level-24 of Mirabella looking south. Pavers are now being placed (center of photo) at the level-5 deck. The paver installation includes; laying the drain mat, followed by insulation then the pavers are placed on leveling pedestals. The concrete walls visible throughout the deck are planter boxes which are used to separate and differentiate spaces throughout the rooftop deck.
Site work on Pennoyer Street continues. The trench drains are placed and the final grade is now complete, this will allow for the installation of pavers. Landscaping and additional finish work will take place after the pavers have been placed. Pennoyer Street will allow pedestrian access from the South Waterfront Neighborhood Park to the rivers edge of the Willamette.
The lights are on in the Library! The above photo shows the illuminated library as seen from Pennoyer St.
The above photo is of the level-1 classroom / auditorium, looking south east. Light fixtures, acoustical wall panels (center – left of photo) and acoustical ceiling tile have now been installed. Finish wood work continues with floor coverings to follow.
Interior finishes continue at various stages throughout Mirabella. The above photo shows cabinets, granite slab countertop and recently installed plumbing fixtures at a level-7 apartment home at the north east corner of Mirabella. Cabinets, casework and granite slab countertops have been installed through level-8.
This photo was taken at the street car stop of SW Bond and OHSU Plaza, before the streetcar departs to downtown Portland. Visible in the background is Mirabella with Christmas lights lining the top of the tower crane. Happy Holidays from Mirabella!
