Construction is Under Way!
March 20, 2009

Mirabella at South Waterfront continues to climb! The level-4 post tension slab, at the northern half of the site, was poured on Thursday, 03-19-2009. In the center of the picture you can see the continued work on the structural steel framework for the Podium’s mechanical penthouse at level-7. This view is from the northwest and is taken from the rooftop of the OHSU Center for Health and Healing.

This is a view looking at the southwest quadrant of the podium, taken from level-4. Visible in this picture is the exterior metal stud framing, which has reached level-4, with the exterior façade system to follow shortly. Also visible is the future South Waterfront Neighborhood Park which is likely to start construction this spring and should open late fall of 2009.

Above is a view of the concrete being poured for vertical structural columns at the northeast quadrant of level-4. At the lower right of the photograph is a great example of the rebar cage and formwork that go into every structural column. At the upper right the structural steel for the mechanical Penthouse at level -7 can be seen.

Another beautiful day in Portland as construction continues. This view is from across the future South Waterfront Neighborhood Park, looking east taken along SW Moody Ave. The Portland Streetcar can be seen in the lower portion of this picture as it is on its way to downtown.
